Prices, specifications and
availability of products offered are subject to change without notice. Due
to the custom nature of some of our products, all prices will be
quoted by electronic mail, facsimile, or in writing for each individual
order. Order confirmations for products with published pricing
will also confirm current pricing before any obligation to complete the
purchase occurs (see"Order Cancellation,"below).
Acceptable methods of payment are
American Express, MasterCard, VISA, Discover credit cards, cashier's check, company
or personal
check, and bank or postal money orders. There will be a $28 fee billed for
returned checks and order will proceed only upon satisfactory payment
being made.
Wood texture and grain
characteristics of trees vary widely and are unique to themselves.
Therefore, Starkwood Designs is not responsible for any natural
differences between two similar items.
Matching stained woods to an existing piece
of millwork or furniture is a virtually impossible process without the
presence of an actual sample of the finish to be matched. Even with
such a sample, there are often differences between the wood used in the
sample and the wood to which the stain is being applied. While we will use
due diligence in attempting to accurately duplicate the stain color/finish
requested Starkwood Designs makes no warranty as to the accuracy of the
stain match.
Custom faux and antiqued finishes are difficult to reproduce as
an exact match. On multiple units ordered at the same
time, we will match as to color, texture, and
"effect." Re-orders of the same finish cannot be
guaranteed to match previously completed finish(es) unless the
order is accompanied by one of the original cornices for use as
a color/finish sample. Photographic representations are
not adequate to ensure a close match.
All merchandise is carefully
inspected and packed prior to shipment. At the time of delivery, customers
should examine cartons carefully to note visible damage. Any damage or
loss, including concealed damage, must be claimed by the customer with the
carrier within 5 days and all cartons, contents and packing material must
be retained until inspection is made. Any claim for defect, shortage, or
error must be made tothe freight carrier,in writing, within 5 days
of delivery. Failure to make such claim shall constitute full acceptance
of the merchandise. All shipments are F.O.B. Point of Shipment Origin.Starkwood Designs will assist in any way possible to expedite a claim,
however, we accept no responsibility for damages in transit.
Architectural and decorative molding
orders are produced as required to fill specific orders and cannot be
cancelled once the order is placed. Cancellation
of a window cornice or furniture order must be received by Starkwood Designs in writing at

304-422-1840
within three (3) business days of date of original order.E-mail
cancellations are also acceptable IF RECEIVED FROM THE SAME EMAIL
ADDRESS FROM WHICH THE QUOTATION REQUEST AND ORDER ORIGINATED, verbal cancellations are not.
Any disputes or disagreements arising
from the placement of, production of, payment for, or delivery of an order
through this web site, by phone, fax, or letter, must be resolved under the
laws of and within the jurisdiction of the State of West Virginia.
